This collection consists of tapes and transcripts of interviews with automotive designers conducted by David Crippen of The Henry Ford staff during the late 1980s. There are approximately 118 interviews.
Andrews worked as a designer for Hudson Motor Car Company, Willys-Overland, Raymond Loewy and Studebaker from the 1940s-1970s after which he worked as an independent designer. Updated December 3, 2024.
Buehrig worked in design at a number of automotive companies including General Motors, Stutz, Packard, Duesenberg, Auburn, Cord, Studebaker and Ford Motor Company from 1924-1965. Updated December 4, 2024.
