This collection consists of surveys produced by Wintergreen Orchard House and completed by Oakland Community College's Office of Institutional Research. Each year, Wintergreen Orchard House gathers college and university admissions data to add to their database and their publications. These questionnaires partially draw from the Common Data Sets. Wintergreen Orchard House is a major database compiler, provider, and publisher, specializing in the two and four year college, graduate, and scholarship fields. Originally developed in the 1950’s by Harvard University, the database was taken over in 1978 by a newly formed Orchard House where they began to manage its distribution and maintenance. In 1994, Orchard House merged with Wintergreen Software, Inc., an educational software producer; and then in 2004 the company was acquired by Carnegie Communications.
