dc.description.abstract |
The documents for the Higher Learning Commission for 2008 include: an Executive Summary, the HLC Report, and the HLC Self-Study. The OCC Institutional Self-Study was conducted to prepare for OCC’s sixth comprehensive accreditation visit by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association. The self-study’s purpose is for the College to examine itself carefully to see how it measures up to the HLC’s five criteria: Mission and Integrity; Planning for the Future; Student Learning and Effective Teaching; Acquisition, Discovery, and Application of Knowledge; and Engagement and Service. It also gives the College the opportunity to: • Provide evidence that we are indeed demonstrating each of those criteria • Identify our strengths and challenges for the future • Reflect upon our accomplishments • Look forward to our best future as we put students first to help them reach their highest potential |
