In an introduction to the article, the editor praises Karam and defends her against attackers who do not like to see a Syrian/Arab woman expressing her views in public, and who ask who she might be. Karam tells about herself in modest fashion, arguing that she writes for the benefit and improvement of her fellow Syrian/Arab women. She refuses to reveal her religious affiliation, stating that she belongs to all religions -- and the readers have to judge for themselves. |
