dc.description.abstract The purpose of this report is to present information to assist in evaluating the need for a Technical Writing program at Oakland Community College. Initiated by Bea Catherino, English Faculty, Auburn Hills and Bill Rose, Dean of Academic Services, Auburn Hills, this assessment involved a literature review including information from the Michigan Occupational Information System (MOIS), an examination of other Technical Writing programs in other community colleges and a targeted survey of twenty one local employers of Technical Writers. en_US
