Abstract:
This is a report of a Comprehensive Visit for the Continued Accreditation of
Oakland Community College by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of
the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The report contains four parts.
The first part includes an introduction to the College and information relating to its
establishment and accreditation history. The second part of the report addresses the
evaluation for affiliation with special emphasis on the General Institutional Requirements
and the Criteria for Accreditation. Advice and suggestions from the visiting team comprise
the third portion of the report. These should be clearly understood as advisory and have
no direct impact on the accreditation of Oakland Community College. The final section of
the report includes the recommendations and rationale of the visiting team and concludes
with the Worksheet for Statement of Affiliation Status form.
